Background:
Amy was born and raised in Miami. While earning her juris doctorate, she was a member
and Vice-President of the Board of Advocates for Trial Team as well as a proud recipient of
the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Amy also served as a research assistant for Dean R.
Alexander Acosta in the summer of 2011. Ms. Ruiz also earned a competitive spot in the top
10 of her class. Upon graduation, Amy was awarded the Jackson Lewis, LLP Labor &
Employment Award and Scholarship.
